The North (Bossier) Gate has officially reopened at Barksdale Air Force Base, just in time for the Defenders of Liberty Air Show.
The entrance was shut down December 2 for more than $380,000 in repairs and upgrades. It was officially re-opened with a ribbon-cutting at 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The North Gate will only be open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Defenders of Liberty Air Show will take place Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27.
The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline this year's show, with other feature performances by the F-22 demo team, the AF Heritage Flight, the Wings of Blue Parachute Team, Michael Goulian, Kevin Coleman, Matt Younkin, Gunner Holt, Dave Leedom, the Smoke-n-Thunder Jet Car, the B-52, and vintage warbirds including the T-33, P-51 Mustang, MiG-17, B-17 Bomber, T-6 and more.
