LINDALE, TX (KLTV) -
Injured Lindale firefighter Joe Yeakley continues his long road to recovery at a Dallas hospital.
Lieutenant Aaron Munn with the Lindale Fire Department says Yeakley is doing well and is making small improvements every day. He remains at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Joe Yeakley was leading his team of firefighters into a Lindale house fire in January when the building collapsed.
As it began to collapse, Yeakley was on the front end of the hose team. Two members of his team were able to get into a door jam to avoid being crushed. Yeakley couldn't get there, trapped by burning wood.
