US Marshals make arrest in March shooting at Marshall, TX club

MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) -

U.S. Marshals made an arrest Tuesday in a shooting death that happened last month in East Texas.

Corey Johnson was taken into custody in Tallulah, LA on a murder warrant related to the March 23 death of Jalen Juwan White. The shooting happened at the Rumors Arcade in the 100 block of West Pinecrest Drive, Marshall, TX police said.

Investigators say a fight started inside and quickly spilled out to the parking lot. Police believe Johnson began firing shots, hitting White and another person.

White was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall where he died.

Johnson was taken to Madison Parish Jail to wait extradition to Texas, police said.
