DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham city leaders have questions regarding the site of a planned high rise in downtown.

The 26-story building was approved last year.

City Council member Eugene Brown said there is $4 million in incentives on the table but the council wants to know how the developer will repair buildings on Parrish Street including the redevelopment of the Jack Tar Hotel.

The council wants plans and a timeline for repairing burned out buildings near where the high rise will be constructed.

The developer said the repairs of the damaged buildings will be included in construction. The Jack Tar Hotel is slated to be expanded from 44 rooms to 74.

The Durham City Council plans to hold a public hearing for April 21 at 7 p.m. on the matter.
