Police arrested a Shreveport man Monday afternoon in connection with a shooting on the city's west side.
Jamarzia Leonard, 19 was charged with attempted second degree murder after police say he got out of a vehicle on Broadway Avenue and began shooting at another vehicle, which was heading north on Broadway near Booker T Street.
The victim's car was damaged by the gunfire, but he was not injured.
Shreveport police found the gunfire may have been linked to a previous altercation between members of the victim's family and Leonard's associates. This led them to a home in the 3800 block of Mayfield Street, where Leonard's vehicle was parked.
Four men found at the home were taken to police headquarters for questioning, but were later released pending further investigation. A weapon police believe may have been part of the shooting was also found inside the house.
Police arrested Leonard during their investigation and found that he was wanted on an unrelated warrant for second degree aggravated battery. He was also charged on that warrant when booked into the Shreveport City Jail Monday.
