Teen arrested in Monday afternoon home burglary in Shreveport
Shreveport police investigate a home burglary Monday.
SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
A teenager was arrested after being caught in the act of breaking into a home just west of Linwood Avenue.
A neighbor saw someone going into a window at a home in the 1600 block of Malcolm Street. Shreveport police responded to the scene and found a 16-year-old matching the witness's description. He was about a block away at Vivian Street and Linwood Avenue.
The suspect, who police say was wearing red jogging pants and a black hoodie, was arrested and charged with burglary.
Det. Angie Willhite said nothing was found to be missing from the house, but the inside did look like the suspect intended to take something.
He is being held at the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
