FOUKE, AR (KSLA) -

The Fouke, AR bus driver arrested Thursday for stalking a child on the internet bonded out of jail Friday.

Samuel Richardson, 67, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon as he arrived at school to make his afternoon bus route. Sheriffs said investigators posed as a 13-year-old child and communicated with Richardson, who then made inappropriate responses.

The investigation began two months ago when the parents of a 10-year-old girl riding Richardson's bus alleged the bus driver was making inappropriate comments to their daughter.

The situation has one area parent a bit nervous.

"It is a very fearful though honestly about what kind of care you are putting your kids in when you send them to public school nowadays," said parent Amber Bray.

Bray's child attends a Fouke school, but Fouke Mayor Terry Purvis said these types of incidents happen in other places also.

"I think this problem is bigger than Fouke put together I think this problem happens all over and I think this is a wake up call for us to be more vigilant," Purvis said.

Calls to School Superintendent Forrest Mulkey were not returned as of press time. During a visit to his office, KSLA News 12 was told he was not available.
