SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -
Police say a woman wanted for stealing hundreds of dollars worth of children's clothes from a Shreveport boutique by stuffing them into her underwear has been arrested.
Wanda Thomas, 45, has been wanted on a warrant for felony theft of goods after police identified her as the woman caught on surveillance video stuffing children's clothing under her skirt and into her panties last week, hangers and all.
Carl Giounes, 61, was also arrested for felony theft of goods.
It happened just before 2 p.m. April 2 at Lil' Miss Priss & Co. Boutique in the 3700 block of Youree Drive. Boutique owner Susie Buchanan said the woman and a male accomplice believed to be Giounes got away with more than $500 worth of children's clothes.
Thomas is also a suspect in a number of other crimes. The most recent charge against her was in February 2013 for possession of drug paraphernalia and a schedule 2 narcotic, according to police records.
Shreveport police say Thomas visited her parole officer on Thursday, who detained her until officers arrived and arrested her. She has been booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on charges of felony theft and probation violation.
