No victims found inside Texarkana house destroyed in fire

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -

No victims were found inside a Texarkana, TX home destroyed by fire Sunday morning.

Firefighters tore down a 2-story house in the 1200 block of Wood St. after getting the blaze under control in search of a possible victim inside.

According to fire investigator Chris Black, flames were coming out of the windows on the second floor when the first firefighters arrived around 10:30 a.m.

It is believed that no one lived in the home, but Black said a large amount of items inside the house made battling the blaze difficult.

"It looks like people have been using it as storage," Black said. "Trying to get into it and get to where the fire is has been very difficult for our guys."

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
