Bossier Parish (KSLA) -

Bossier Sheriffs have identified the body found in the Red River Tuesday night as that of a Shreveport man.

Glen Bowens Jr., 22 is originally from California but had been living in the Port City most recently. He was last seen by friends near the Shreveport riverfront on the evening of March 23. His girlfriend filed a missing person report on March 24, the sheriff's department stated.

Sheriffs are not yet certain what caused Bowens' death but investigators said there were no signs of trauma or foul play. Toxicology reports could take up to six weeks.

Investigators don't think there will be a criminal investigation at this point.

Bowens' body was found floating in the Red River Tuesday night south of the Red River Marina on Hwy. 71. It was identified by fingerprints.
