Texarkana, Texas residents are about to celebrate a new place to take their pets and the critters are sure to enjoy the festivities at a place of their own.
A grand opening and ribbon cuttng is set for this weekend at the new dog park that was promised to the city after Texarkana won a $100,000 contest to build it.
The park is at Spring Lake Park and it has been named after Kylee Sullivan. You may recall Kylee was a 7-year-old girl who was killed nearly four years ago by flood waters at Camp Albert Pike.
The festivities get underway at the park this Saturday, April 5th at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
