I-20 in Harrison County reopened after diesel spill

HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KSLA) -

I-20 in Harrison County, Texas is back open after an 18-wheeler jackknifed spilling diesel on the roadway Monday night.

DPS says an 18-wheeler jackknifed at around 8 p.m. near mile marker 601 in Harrison County. Harrison County deputies say hazmat crews cleaned up 200 gallons of diesel before clearing the scene.

Right now, it is unknown if the fuel that spilled was from the truck's tanks or if it was being hauled. 

Westbound traffic in the area was diverted during the cleanup.
