SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport police are searching for suspects in the overnight shooting of an 18-year-old man. It happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of West 70th Street.

Police say DeAndre Daniel was shot in the lower leg and was taken to University Health Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening.

Investigators learned that Daniel had been walking through the apartment complex when a group of men began to follow him. One of the men pulled out a hand gun and began firing at Daniel, striking him in the leg.

The suspects are described as three black males, who fled the scene in a dark colored sedan. Anyone with any information about this shooting is asked to contact Shreveport-Caddo Crimestoppers at 318-673-7373.
