Scott Hebert arrested in undercover sting for indecency with children
MILLER CO, AR (KSLA) -
A Winnfield, LA., man has been arrested and charged with multiple crimes against children.
Scott Hebert, 39, is also charged with internet stalking of a child in Miller County, AR. He was picked up at his home in Winfield Tuesday and is waiting to be brought to Miller County.
In the meantime, Hebert was booked into the Winn Parish Correctional Facility. Hebert was charged with five counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Hebert was arrested after an investigation by the Miller County Sheriff's Office in conjunction with state and federal agencies.
On March 20th, state police advised Miller County Sheriff's Office that Hebert made contact with several children in Arkansas, ranging in age from 10 to 12, via social media and that he sent pornographic images of himself to them.
Hebert had also coerced one child into the production of child pornography, police said. State police conducted an undercover operation, posing as a girl. During that investigation, Hebert sent pornographic images to undercover agents, thinking he was sending them to a young girl.
Hebert was also booked as a fugitive from Arkansas. State police were also assisted in the investigation by the Department of Homeland Security/ICE.
