A man apparently upset over his recent breakup now faces kidnapping charges.
Shreveport Police Cpl. Marcus Hines says just after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, officers got a kidnapping call from the Teleperformance Call Center on W. Bert Kouns. Witnesses there said 19-year-old Jemora Glisney of Shreveport had just gotten to work when she was grabbed by a man and forced into a black SUV.
A short time later, police got word the black SUV was in the parking lot of the Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church in the 4700 block of Greenwood Road.
Officers who went to the church found Glisney and 25-year-old Steffan Harris of DeSoto, TX. At the scene, officers were told that Harris and Glisney had recently broken up after dating for about a year.
Police say Harris was upset over the break up and allegedly waited for Glisney at work and then grabbed her.
Glisney was not hurt.
After he was interviewed by detectives, Harris was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on a charge of simple kidnapping.
