SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport city council members honored KSLA at Tuesday's city council meeting.

Members voted that the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Dashiel Street be dedicated in honor of KSLA's 60th anniversary on the air.

Our general manager, James Smith, was there to thank the council. KSLA was recognized for being the first television station on the air in 1954. KSLA was also honored for being the most watched TV station in Shreveport.
