A Shreveport man has been arrested after shooting two men during a family feud that erupted while the men were playing cards.
Shreveport police spokesman Marcus Hines says 43-year-old Luther Waites surrendered to authorities after shooting 29-year-old Robert Gladney and 50-year-old Roy Davis during a card game.
The incident happened at a home in the 1100 block of Dunbriar Drive in Cherokee Park subdivision shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday. The victims were treated at University Health Medical Center for injuries that were thought to be non-life threatening.
Hines says Waites became agitated at some point during the card game, grabbed a gun and started firing at the men. Waites ran, but later turned himself in to authorities at police headquarters, Hines said.
Waites is in the Shreveport City Jail on charges of attempted second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
