Texarkana, TX, police nab 3 suspects for burglary after chase
TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) -
Texarkana, Texas police have nabbed three men for burglaries of two houses in the same neighborhood after the suspects ran from police.
Officers arrived in the 6600 block of North Park Road at around 11 a.m. Friday to find a burglary in progress. Three men had broken into the house with the owner there. When officers arrived, the men fled on foot.
Police captured one of the suspects, 40-year-old Lawrence Hubbard, of Houston. While looking for the other two suspects, officers learned that there was another burglary in progress in the 7000 block of North Park Road.
Police arrived on the scene to find two suspects running in the 6900 block of the same road. After another foot chase, officers arrested the other two men in a wooded patch near North Park Road.
The other suspects have been identified as 34-year-old Willie Powell and 25-year-old Lamarcus Lavigne, both of Houston.
All three suspects are charged with burglary of a habitation and evading arrest on foot. The case is still under investigation.
