SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A worker injured Wednesday night at the Schlumberger location in Shreveport remains in the hospital.

Mike Painter, who became trapped between 2 silos at the oil and gas logistics company, was listed in critical condition Friday at LSU Health Shreveport. He has a broken leg and ribs and a skull fracture, hospital officials confirmed.

The high angle rescue got under way around 10:30 p.m. March 19, after the man fell and struck his head while on the job at the oilfield services company's Valley View Road location.

Rescue crews were able to lower a equipment to the man in order to lift him out and bring him down safely.

The man was taken to University Health Shreveport with a deep cut on the head that will require stitches. The extent of his injuries are not known, however.

It's not clear yet what caused the accident.
