Hanover boyfriend sentenced in girlfriend's murder

HANOVER, VA (WWBT) -

A man who was found guilty of killing his girlfriend inside of her Hanover home will serve the rest of his life in prison.

A judge sentenced 44-year-old Brian Mallory Monday. He was found guilty of first degree murder in January for killing Sarah Hakopian in 2012.

Mallory was also sentenced to 12 months in prison on petty larceny charges.
