Police: Fight escalates into double shooting

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded Tuesday evening.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said it happened at a home in the 12000 block of La Margie Avenue around 6:15 p.m.

According to investigators, one victim was shot in the head and the other in the leg. Their names were not released and their conditions are unknown.

Detectives added the situation started with a fight and ended with gunfire.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
