BOSSIER PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Haughton man is behind bars at Bossier Max, accused of driving drunk and causing 3 wrecks Wednesday afternoon in North Bossier.

Michael Dushane, 42, is charged with two counts of hit and run, DWI, possession of synthetic marijuana and careless operation. According to Louisiana State Police Trooper Brett Davis, Dushane struck the first vehicle at I220 eastbound as it merges with I20 and never stopped.

Then, Dushane allegedly hit another vehicle near mile marker 29 on I20 just before 4 p.m. and continued eastbound until he struck a third vehicle and was forced to stop because his 2009 Chevy pickup had become disabled.

State police were alerted to the series of wrecks by a 911 call, according to Tpr. Davis.

One of the victims suffered minor injuries.

Dushane was taken into custody at the scene and booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility in Plain Dealing. Bond has not yet been set.
