SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KSLA) -

The incumbent is out, after a recount in the Republican primary election for Shelby County judge.

The final results were announced Monday night in the recount of votes cast on March 4 between incumbent Rick Campbell and County Clerk Allison Harbison.

The original count had Campbell losing to Harbison by one vote. But there were 5 provisional ballots that were not counted.

The voters had until 4:30 p.m. Monday to show ID and prove they were provisional voters.

In the recount that followed, each candidate received one provisional vote. No Democrats ran in the race for county judge. That means Harbison will become the next county judge in Shelby County.
