LSU moved up one spot to number 3 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Top 30 and number 8 in Baseball America's Top 25 Poll.
It was a busy week for the Tigers and a perfect one at that. LSU won five games in five days improving their record to 14-2.
The Tigers beat both Sacred Heart and Northwestern 8-1 to start the week and ended it by sweeping Purdue 10-0, 4-2 and 7-3.
The Ragin' Cajuns of UL-Lafayette check in at number 6 and number 10 with a record of 13-2.
Vanderbilt is ranked number 4 and will host LSU this weekend in the Tigers SEC opener.
LSU plays host to Nicholls State (8-8) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Junior right-hander Brady Domangue (1-0) will start on the mound for the Tigers.
