Man dies at hospital following shooting

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man taken to an area hospital early Sunday with gunshot wounds has died of his injuries, police say.

Kansas City police were called shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday to an area hospital after a shooting victim was dropped off by an acquaintance.

The victim, a Hispanic man in his 20s, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. The man's name has not been released.

Right now, police say they do not know where this man was shot or the circumstances.

However, officers say they are investigating after another shooting victim showed up at a different area hospital Sunday morning.

Police believe that shooting happened at East 16th Street and White Avenue. Investigators say they do not know right now if the two shootings are related.
