Teen volunteer firefighter remembered after fatal crash

Funeral services are this morning for a 19-year-old Jordan LeBlanc, a Shelby County firefighter who tragically lost his life in a crash involving drunk driver. Fire department from across east Texas will honor his life with a parade of fire trucks rolling through the county as part of the funeral procession.

A Shreveport family will remain in a hotel for now after a fire damaged their home. Even though firefighters say the house is livable, Donna Jackson says she and her six children cannot return to the home because two of her children have asthma.

A new survey shows there are less homeless veterans in the Shreveport-Bossier area than last year. The group Hope Connections is helping veterans still living on the streets the items they need to help get them back on their feet.
