LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – Valentine's Day is over, but a special Valentine's date is still in the works.

Monday Olympic Bronze Medalist Nick Goepper, a Lawrenceburg, Indiana native, announced which girl tweeted their way into his heart in a Twitter competition using the hashtag #IWantToDateNick.

The lucky lady, Kent State University student Annie Rogers, wrote a witty love song to the tune of "I'm Yours" by Jason Mraz.

Goepper stopped by WAVE 3 News and said of the 4,000 to 5,000 submissions he saw he chose Rogers because, "She was creative, funny, you know, her song was super cute and it came out early on too so she kinda beat the other girls to the chase."

See what he said about what their date might hold and what he had to say about Sochi by watching his raw interview with WAVE 3 News Sunrise Anchor Lauren Jones.
