TORONTO (CTV NETWORK/CNN) – Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he will not apologize for the profane language he used about Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair.

In fact, Ford says Blair should be the one apologizing – to the taxpayers.

"If he's going to arrest me, arrest me," Ford said Thursday. "I have done nothing wrong, and he's wasted millions of dollars. I want him to come clean and say how much money did it cost the taxpayers for surveillance on me and the planes that he had to rent. That is absolutely game playing and it's politics, and I am not apologizing."

After months of surveillance, police arrested Ford's former driver.

Alexander Sandro Lisi is now accused of extortion, related to attempts to retrieve a video that police say shows the mayor smoking crack cocaine.
