A 2 1/2-year-old boy pulled from a pool in Anthem Thursday evening died at a Phoenix hospital, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.
The child was not breathing and had no pulse and was under water an estimated five minutes, according to authorities from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and Daisy Mountain Fire Department.
The accident happened around 6:05 p.m. near 3400 W Warren Dr.
Deputies said they found the mother administering CPR on her son when they arrived.
Deputies said the tragedy appeared to be an accident, but the incident was still under investigation.
No other information was immediately available.
