SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

The Krewe of Gemini parade rolls this Saturday at 4:30 p.m. through Shreveport-Bossier.

It is the 25th anniversary of the parade in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of KSLA News 12. Each rider will be throwing a special polystone bead, honoring both anniversaries.

This year's theme is "Throw Me a Memory, Mister." The krewe will have a collection of all the polystones from past years, and krewe captain Russ Friedrich challenges the crowd to collect all 25 of them. The parade will have 38 floats total this year, and slightly more than 350 members riding.

The parade starts in downtown Shreveport near Sci-Port at Lake Street, then rolls down Clyde Fant Parkway, turns down Shreveport-Barksdale Blvd., and ends in Shreveport's Broadmoor neighborhood.
