Standoff ends, suspect taken into custody in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A man wanted on multiple warrants in Shreveport was taken into custody late Saturday night after a more than 2 hour standoff with police.

Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call and an open line at a home in the 2500 block of C.E. Galloway.  

Police found a man inside the home who was refusing to leave.  He had several warrants out for his arrest including domestic violence, false imprisonment and domestic battery, police said.

Investigators say a mother and several children were inside the home.

The Shreveport Police Special Response Team responded to the scene as well and assisted with taking the suspect into custody.

The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
