Marshall Street in downtown Shreveport is back open, now that an early morning wreck that caused a gas leak has been cleared and the leak capped.
Police say just before 6 a.m., a trash truck crashed and struck a gas line in an alley off of Marshall St. between Travis and Texas streets near Government Plaza.
There were no evacuations.
Centerpoint Energy was able to cap and repair on the gas line shortly after 7 a.m.
