LITTLE RIVER CO., AR (KSLA) -
A Little River County sheriff's deputy has been fired following his arrest on for domestic battery in an incident involving his 15-year-old step-son.
Daryll Lincoln, 43, was also the School Resource Officer for Ashdown schools. He was not on duty at the time of the alleged incident.
He was arrested late Monday night. $25,000 bond has been set.
According to an Arkansas State Police affidavit, the teen had been arguing with his step-brother at their Winthrop, AR home when Lincoln allegedly threatened and assaulted him. The teen told deputies that Lincoln also stabbed a bowie knife into the coffee table, telling the teen that was for his father if he showed up.
The teen was treated at St. Michael's hospital in Texarkana, TX for "deep bruises," on his head, neck and face, a cut on his ear, a fractured eye socket requiring him to see an eye specialist and possibly a broken nose.
Little River Sheriff Gary Gregory says Lincoln was placed on administrative leave Monday and terminated Tuesday after Arkansas State Police filed the criminal charge against him.
