Gents fall to Colorado College at the Gold Dome 77-70

The Gents were on a roll heading into the Gold Dome with a 7 game win streak on Saturday and had their eyes on being No. 1 seed in the SCAC Tournament. Colorado led by 9 early in the second half but went on a run and the Gents never recovered. Jonathan Blount finished with 21 points The Gents had two games left on the schedule; the gents host Open Bible College at the Gold Dome on Tuesday.

BPCC holds of late run by Navarro and win a close one 76-73

The Cavs held on to 10 point lead in the second half before Navarro went on a run and cut the lead to two.  BPCC settled in and got back to work and after consecutive 3 point plays by forward Wilbert Thomas the Cavs were back in the driver seat.  Bossier High standout Lyndale James dropped a double-double with 19 points and 17 rebounds.  Wilbert Thomas led the Cavs with 21 points and 10 Rebounds.

BPCC Lady Cavs fall to top ranked Trinity Valley 105-53

The Lady Cavs had trouble stopping Trinity Valley in transition.  Trinity Valley's Guard Shlonte Allen from Arcadia led all scores with 25 points.  The Lady Cavs were led by Raiosha Preston who finished with 14 on the night in a tough loss to Trinity Valley 105-53.

SUSLA Jags defeat Baton Rouge Community College 67-52

Southern University Shreveport Jaguars basketball team clinched the conference title by beating Baton Rouge Community College and stays undefeated in Conference play with two games remaining on the schedule.  The Jags played stingy defense early and young guard Yettra Specks helped lead the team to its four straight conference win.

SUSLA Lady Jags fall to Baton Rouge Community College 63-39

The Lady Jaguars got down early due to turnovers but continued to fight at home in front of a nice crowd on Saturday.   The Lady Jags couldn't get the shots to fall in the second half and fell to Baton Rouge 63-39.
