Neighbors shocked by Bossier murder-suicide

A Bossier City man and woman were found dead in their home Thursday night from an apparent gunshot wound each. Now police are calling their deaths a murder-suicide. This happened in the 2400 block of Tulip Street. Officers were called out around 10:15 pm to the home.

Brandon Harris lives two houses down and explains the scene: "it was just a whole lot of police cars and I heard 2 gun shots. That's really about it. Two girls came running out."

Two gun shots rang through this Bossier City neighborhood Thursday night. Police say the man inside shot the woman and then himself  the day before Valentine's Day.

"I know them, they've lived there for almost 6 months to a year, they're really pretty nice, I really never suspected any foul play between them. They seem like they got along fine, they had a teenage daughter" a neighbor, Lindsey Logan, says. Police say the illusion of a happy family may not have been the reality behind these closed doors on Tulip Street. Bossier City Police say they responded to the house two times in the past 6 months to reports of arguments, but never physical violence.

"He was real protective over his wife, I mean he didn't like people knocking on his door, and she would get scared and he'd rush home from work, they just seemed like a happy loving family, I was pretty shocked" Logan says.

Police says it was a family member that made the call for help. They are waiting to notify the family before releasing the names of those 2 victims.
