Good Thursday afternoon! I hope you're enjoying today's sunny weather. What a nice change.

Here are some stories for you to check out this afternoon:

1. A 30-year-old Longview man has been missing since Saturday and his family is hoping East Texans can help locate him. Gaylon Bradley was last seen at his grandmother's house in Longview. He left his grandmother's house Saturday on foot and did not return. No one has seen Bradley or heard from him since then. 903-237-1199 is the number to call Longview PD if you have seen Mr. Bradley.

2. On Thursday, James Calvert was in court for a hearing in preparation for his capital murder trial. Calvert is accused of killing his ex-wife and kidnapping their son in 2012. He's being held in the Smith County Jail on a $25 million bond. Calvert plans to represent himself at his trial.

4. An East Texas woman was able to rescue her husband today when a tree fell on him as he was cutting it. The wife used a logging skidder to get him out from under the tree. Her husband is currently in Mother Frances Hospital in unknown condition.

5. Your favorite president may not fall among the five most impactful in U.S. history, according to one study. Reagan, Washington and Lincoln are among the top five, the study says.

6. Authorities say it was a "selfie" that led detectives to a suspect in the burglary of a Southern California church. Apparently detectives at the scene of the robbery found a phone, and it turned out to be the phone of the man who committed the crime, implicating himself by taking a picture of himself committing the crime. See it here.

7. Running out of ideas for your Valentine? Thinking a romantic dinner, a few bottles of wine and Netflix or Redbox might be in your future? Here is a list of movies that are great for you and your significant other, or if you are single, you and your friends.
