NORMAN, OK - Competing for the second time in three days, the third-ranked LSU gymnastics team posted the nation's top road score and a season-high tying 197.650 to beat second-ranked Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon in Lloyd Noble Center.

LSU improved to 5-1 on the season and took the lead in the all-time series against Oklahoma, 10-9. It marks LSU's second 197.650 score of the season after the Tigers accomplished that in a win against Alabama on Jan. 31 in the Maravich Center.

The Tigers earned season highs on vault on beam with a 49.600 and 49.325, respectively. The 49.600 ranks as the third-best vault total in school history, and the 49.325 on beam is the best score on the event for LSU since April 6 of last year when the Tigers posted a 49.350 at the NCAA Columbus Regional.

The win is LSU's first against a Top 5 opponent in a road dual meet since Feb. 13, 2009 when the Tigers defeated No. 5 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, 196.625-195.750.

Junior Jessie Jordan won her second all-around title of the season with a career-high 39.525. Senior Sarie Morrison took home her third vault title of the year with a season-high 9.975, and she captured her fourth bars title of the season with a 9.925. Morrison has 24 bars titles and 10 vault titles in her career.

For the second meet in a row, LSU recorded a season-high beam total in the final rotation as the Tigers scored a 49.325 against the Sooners. Gnat led the way with a 9.90 to win the event, while Courville, Jordan and Hall earned 9.875s to pace the team. Dickson added a 9.80 to help LSU finish with a season high in the event.

Oklahoma fell to 3-2 overall after suffering its first home loss since 2012. LSU will see the Sooners in six days as both teams will compete at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas, along with No. 13 Arizona and Kentucky. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. CT Saturday in the Fort Worth Convention Center.
