Bossier narcotics agents arrest 2 on meth charges

BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) -

A Bossier City meth bust has netted 2 arrests and shut down 3 active meth labs, according to the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office.

The arrests were made Thursday evening at the Parkland Villa Apartments in Bossier City by agents with the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force of the Bossier Sheriff's Office and Bossier City Police Department.
 
Agents arrested Brenda Brown, 39, of Bossier City, on one count of possession of marijuana and one count of distribution/manufacturing with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine). 

Also arrested was Matthew West, 26, of Shreveport, on one count of possession of marijuana and one count of distribution/manufacturing with intent to distribute Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine).  Brown and West were booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility, bonds pending.

The Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force is made up of agents of the Bossier Sheriff's Office and the Bossier City Police Department. The team was established in October 2012 by Sheriff Whittington and Chief McWilliams as a combined effort to combat illegal drug activity and associated crimes all throughout Bossier Parish.
