Christopher Hogan was selected to paint a unique art collection highlighting the newest vehicle in Bajaj Auto's stable, the RE60 Quadricycle. The introduction of the RE60 Quadricycle Signature Collection will take place at the 2014 Auto Expo in India.

NEW DELHI, Feb. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned Australian artist and sculptor, Christopher Hogan was commissioned by Bajaj Auto to conceptualise, design and hand-paint a series of 5 vehicles.  His RE60 Quadricycle Signature Collection was revealed on the world stage February 6, 2014 Auto Expo in India.  With this project, Hogan has created a fusion of art, culture and technology into a highly visual package.  The canvasses for Christopher Hogan's creations are the Bajaj RE60 vehicles themselves.

While other artists have painted art cars in the past, never before has a single artist painted a collection of 5 art cars. The showcased collection represents an association between Bajaj Auto Ltd and Christopher Hogan.  The goal was to create a visual celebration for the Bajaj Auto's new 216cc vehicle on the world stage.

Hogan's style of painting is contemporary abstract, and each RE60 Quadricycle is a kaleidoscope of colour and recognisable patterns that will certainly evoke a sense of excitement, playfulness, and glee to even the most sceptical automobile-aficionado.  As part of his creative process for the project, Hogan carefully researched which five national icons would be the most visually suitable to represent the overall cultural aesthetic of India.

Hogan explains, "Colour is such an integral ingredient in the Indian way of life.  This was an important consideration in my finished creations.  This is reflected in the Tiger, Lotus, Mango, Peacock and Banyan Tree vibrantly coloured designs.
