Convicted sex offender arrested on 41 counts of child pornography

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man has been arrested and charged with 40 counts of possessing, and a single count of distributing pornography involving juveniles.

According to a statement released by the Louisiana Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit, 43-year-old Aaron Wikkerink, of 422 Woodrow Street, was arrested Tuesday night as part of a joint investigation involving the Attorney General's High Technology Crime Unit, Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Wikkerink is charged with violating a state law forbidding a person to produce, distribute, possess, or possess with the intent to distribute pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and faces up to 20 years in prison on each count if convicted. 

Wikkerink was previously convicted of aggravated incest in 2000.
