SPD seeks ID on SUV, suspect in theft of student's car

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

Shreveport Police investigators have released surveillance video in hopes of identifying the driver or owner of a dark-colored SUV that may have been involved in the theft of a car from local high school student.

Police say a student's silver Ford Crown Victoria had been parked in a private parking lot next to Booker T. Washington High School in the 2100 block of Milam St.when it was taken on January 9, sometime  between 4:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

In the surveillance video released by police Friday, a dark colored SUV (possibly a Ford Explorer) parks next to the victim's car. Police say someone got out of the passenger side of the SUV and into the victim's car. A few seconds pass and both cars drive away.
