Police swarm Bossier City apartment complex, residents left shaken

Neighbors say it was a scary scene at the Cloverdale Apartments in Bossier City on Thursday afternoon, as police swarmed the complex.

Several police officers could be seen walking in and out of a building around 12:30 p.m. Bossier City Spokesman Mark Natale explained the police were executing a search warrant, but would not say what it involved. Natale said further information is not available because the investigation is ongoing.

"I heard dogs barking and police with guns," said resident Brittany Webb, who said the commotion drew her out of the building and described the commotion as "chaotic."  "This is not the environment I want to live in, never expected this," said Webb.

"People were saying there was a drive by and all kinds of speculation, it was kind of scary," said resident Anne Matthews who stood with a group of onlookers.

"Given the type of case it is, executing a search warrant, that's why we had this number of officers here," Natale told the concerned neighbors. After hearing Natale's explanation, Matthews described the information as "comforting."

"Well I mean this kind of thing happens, it happens everywhere, not just in our neighborhood. But it's unpleasant, for everyone and it's not safe, you do worry about your children," Matthews said.

At least one person could be seen getting detained, but police say no one has been arrested yet.
