NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

A Texas man wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl was arrested in Natchitoches Tuesday night.

Natchitoches Parish deputies say they arrested 26-year-old John Larned, Jr. after officials found him at a home in the 2600 block of Johnson Chute Road. Deputies say they were searching for Larned after the received information that he was wanted by Texas authorities for an alleged Aggravated Sexual Assault involving a 15-year-old juvenile female.

Deputies say as they were talking to one person at the home, they saw a man attempting to leave out the back door. Deputies caught the man who was later identified as Larned. Deputies say he had a loaded revolver and drug paraphernalia. Deputies then obtained permission to search the residence after the suspect told them he had illegal narcotics in the bedroom and found marijuana.

Larned was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a juvenile, aggravated assault of  a juvenile with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and drug possession.

Larned remains in the Natchitoches Detention Center awaiting extradition to Texas.
