NPSO: Duo arrested in auto shop burglaries

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, LA (KSLA) -

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested two men in connection to several vehicle burglaries at an auto shop last week.

Deputies say around 4 p.m. on Friday, January 17th, they responded to a report of several vehicle burglaries at Tony's Body Shop in the 2100 block of LA Highway 6 East.

Deputies say they viewed surveillance video of two men breaking into the shop through a locked gate. The duo then broke into six cars inside the body shop yard and allegedly stole several item including electrical equipment, clothing and CD's.

The evidence led investigators to 25-year-old Bruce Lowe and 23-year-old Antonio Jones. Lowe and Jones were questioned and later arrested on January 22nd.  Detectives say one of the suspects admitted to the burglaries.

Lowe was charged with unauthorized entry of a business, two counts of simple criminal damage to property and two counts of simple burglary.He has been released on bond set by a Tenth Judicial District Court Judge.

Jones was charged with one count of unauthorized entry of a business, six counts of simple criminal damage to property and six counts of simple burglary. Jones was taken to the Natchitoches Detention Center.
