A couple of suspected burglars didn't make it far Monday morning, thanks to a quick response by Shreveport police.
It happened in the Ingleside neighborhood around 10 a.m.
A neighbor saw something that just didn't look right at a home in Quinton St. near Virginia Ave., calling to tell police that there were 4 men loading up a truck at the back of the house.
Police say the caller knew the owners of the home hadn't been living there, making the activity suspicious.
Officers got to the area in time to spot the truck described by the caller just a block away, backed into a driveway and loaded up with stolen items. 2 men were taken into custody and questioned, but police say no charges were filed. They say they have not made contact with the homeowner, who would need to file the criminal complaint.
