SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Caddo Parish jury found a man accused of shooting a former all-state football player guilty of murder.

It took jurors less than 1 hour to find LaQuinn Murray, 23, guilty of second degree murder.  He was accused in the shooting death of Jonathan Simo, 26, in west Shreveport in May 2012.

Murray was also convicted for attempted 2nd degree murder in the shooting of Devon Marshall.

Police say Murray drove up to a crowd of people on Tierra Drive and started firing.  Simo and Marshall were both hit by bullets.  Simo died at the scene.

Simo was a star football player at Loyola College Prep in Shreveport.
