Shreveport police have arrested a local man wanted in the stabbing of his estranged wife.
Police say it happened just after 2 a.m. Saturday at in the 1100 block of West 70th Street. Officers were called there for a report of a stabbing and found 35-year-old Nakedra Mosley suffering multiple cuts to her upper body and face. She was taken to University Health Shreveport with injuries that are described by police as "life-threatening."
Investigators believe Mosley was stabbed repeatedly by her estranged husband, 36-year-old Richard Mosley of Shreveport. The couple had been living separately for several months, and police say Richard Mosley had a history of stalking and threatening his wife over the phone before the stabbing.
An arrest warrant was issued Monday for Richard Mosley, charging him with a single count of attempted first degree murder. He was taken into custody Tuesday morning, police say, after a Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers tip led to his arrest.
