Man robbed of $19,000 in casino winnings

A Panola County man was allegedly robbed of his winnings from a Bossier City Casino Friday night.

Chief Deputy John Depresca told the Panola Watchman that the man won $19,000 at the Horseshoe Casino in the early hours of Friday, Jan. 10, and arrived at his home on Farm-to-Market 10 shortly before 6 a.m.

Investigators say two men in a dark colored SUV pulled up behind him, pointed a gun at him and demanded his money and told him to get on his knees.

Deputies believe the robbers followed the victim nearly 50 miles from the casino to his home on Farm-to-Market 10.

The probe into this case is ongoing.
