(CNN) - The number of people who consider themselves liberals is on the rise.
Gallup looked at several polls it conducted in 2013 and found that 23 percent of Americans surveyed identified themselves as a liberal, that's up a percentage point from 2012.
It's the highest level since 1992 when Gallup started measuring ideology in its current format.
But, it's still far below the 38 percent of people who identified themselves as conservatives in 2013.
That number was down one percentage point from 2012.
