SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -

A Shreveport man is wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a local grocery store last week.

An arrest warrant has been issued for 52-year-old Victor Love, charging him with a single count of armed robbery in connection with the holdup of the Brookshire's grocery store in the 3600 block of Pines Rd. in West Shreveport on January 3.

Witnesses told police the man went into the store around 5:40 p.m. on Friday and confronted an employee at the service desk with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money.

According to investigators, the armed man received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene driving a dark blue or black colored four-door Dodge Charger with a rear spoiler and chrome wheels. No one was injured during the robbery.

Surveillance photos of the suspect and the vehicle were released, and police say Love, of the 6200 block of Snowden St., was developed as a suspect by robbery detectives investigating the crime.

Following an investigation launched by Shreveport police robbery detectives, Love was developed as a suspect in the armed robbery.

Police are now seeking the whereabouts of Love, who is believed to be driving a black 2013 Dodge Charger bearing Louisiana license plate number WYL482.

Bond on the warrant has been set at $250,000.00.
